A middle-class father in India struggles through a series of unexpected events for upholding respect and smiles.

A young man with a PhD can't get a job, so he sues his school and teachers.

Sandeep, a bachelor, lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle along with his mother and a servant, Sevak, who has grown up with him. He decides to travel to Shikarpur to close a business deal and takes Sevak along with him. Although the duo have never been to this region, everyone appears to know them very well. Unable to get anyone to clarify how they are known to them, they decide to complete their business and return home. Little do they know that their departure will be substantially delayed when two women show up claiming to be Sandeep`s wife and sister-in-law.

Chaar is a Bengali anthology film based on four short stories by different writers: "Bateswarer Abodan" by Parasuram, "Porikkha" by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, "Kagtarua" by Satyajit Ray and "Dui Bondhu" by Satyajit Ray.

“Chaar Cutting” comprises of handpicked films from amongst a large assortment of films and put together in a way that captures a wide array of human emotion and genres including comedy, satire, romance and thriller thereby providing a wholesome experience. “ChaarCutting” has Skin Deep (written by Vikramaditya Motwane of Lootera and Udaan fame and directed by his assistant Hardik Mehta), Blouse (directed by Vijayeta Kumar), Manila Running (directed by Anuj Gulati), and Bawdi (directed by Vivek Soni).

Raju, John, Suleman and Shakti seize a hidden treasure of the deceased Anil Kumar. They face Kumar's widow Sharada who identifies Raju as her lost son. They then have to deal with Bandit Devi Singh.
